Our freedom is yours

Let God arise and the small things scatter
This is our God who is mighty to save
We overcome by the blood of the lamb who was slain

Our hope revealed in the person of Jesus
His love is strong it defeated the grave
We overcome by the blood of the lamb who was slain

One man, one God
One sacrifice to save our lives
One death, one cross
One way to make us reconciled
Jesus your name is higher than any other name
One life, our freedom is yours

God you came to bring glorious freedom
We will stand and abide in your truth
We overcome by the blood of the lamb who was slain

You transform broken lives into mountains
Our future's bright in the light of your love
We overcome by the blood of the lamb who was slain

Nothing else again

I'm sanctified I'm justified
by all consuming grace
You've made me strong my heart belongs
to your unending name
Behold my God the risen one
The Lord of earth and sea
The heart of God, his holy love
The risen life in me

Who am I
I'm the child of the King
I'm united in Christ
I am saved by his blood
Who am I
I am treasured by him
And nothing else matters
when compared to his love

Christmas resurrected...

I've had this on my heart for a few months now.

A few years ago I wrote a song about Mary's thoughts about God sending Jesus through her and her response was to trust him and view it as blessing even though it made life really difficult in a lot of ways.

Technology is a fickle thing and I ended up losing the lyrics to this song. But the chorus is something I sing quite often and is probably one of the favourite things I have written in lyrics.

Anyway I have really felt I wanted to rewrite the song, to give it verses and such again and this is the result:

I will treasure these things

I will treasure these things in my heart
I will not forget this beautiful beginning
I will treasure these things in my heart
For this child in my arms He is our Saviour

You came to me
And said that I would have a child
The Son of God
A man to see man reconciled

And my soul will magnify my God
I will rejoice for His goodness to me

I will treasure these things in my heart
I will not forget this beautiful beginning
I will treasure these things in my heart
For this child in my arms He is our Saviour

What grace is mine
It's more than I can understand
You call me blessed
I choose to follow what you've said

And my soul will magnify my God
I will rejoice for His goodness to me

I will treasure these things in my heart
I will not forget this beautiful beginning
I will treasure these things in my heart
For this child in my arms He is our Saviour

You gave me life
Now you've created life in me
Behold a son
A child who comes to set us free

And my soul will magnify my God
I will rejoice for His goodness to me

I will treasure these things in my heart
I will not forget this beautiful beginning
I will treasure these things in my heart
For this child in my arms He is our Saviour

I will treasure these things in my heart
I will not forget this beautiful beginning
I will treasure these things in my heart

For this child in my arms He is our Saviour

Living transformed

We are alive in your life Jesus
Covered by grace so beautiful
Living transformed, revived in perfect love

We don't deserve your mercy Jesus
Freely you give us righteousness
Living transformed, revived in perfect love

Beauty no words can describe
Freedom without any fear
Holy your name it is lifted high

Praise to you the King of glory
Shining brighter than the sun
We're shouting with all creation
You are powerful

You are our strength

Shelter
Fortress in time of need
My God
Wonder and victory
Jesus
Joy of The Lord our strength
You are our strength

Saviour
Grace that will never change
Future
And in the every day
Jesus
Joy of The Lord our strength
You are our strength

There's a fire in our hands
it won't burn out
you're the freedom we live
we lift you up

And we will arise
And we will arise
and we will arise in your strength
With passion and praise
